“The third film… will conclude the initial Pirates trilogy, though it is unlikely to be the last Pirates sequel,” the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying.

Coors Light Billboard 2006
Summer is here again and that can only mean one thing, the new Coors Light Billboard is up! I think it came out pretty cool this year. Jacqui over at Shore Point Distributors came up with the concept and tag line and I did the shoot this year at The Headliner a few months ago. My main man Chris helped me piece and put everything together and there it is 🙂 It still is a great thrill to drive up to it for the first time and see something you worked on larger than life! Its also a great feeling overtime you drive by it and see it as well! I notice something different every time 🙂 Pretty Amazing!

Farewell Bucky
Bucky is a near and dear to me treasure as I grew up. He is a wooden statute from Dartmouth College, where my uncle had attended and was a gift to my grandmother and father. When I would go visit my grandmother as a kid, I would always be drawn to him. Lets face it, in your grandmothers house as a kid, there wasn’t much to play with. My grandmother had passed away some time ago and I had held on to Bucky for a long time.
After we moved we have been cleaning up and consolidating everything in the house. By sheer coincidence, my uncle was coming to town and was attending his Dartmouth 50th year reunion! So I figured it was time for him to go back home and to be loved by many! Good Luck Buck, you will be missed!
Dartmouth College
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dartmouth College is a private academic institution in Hanover, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is a member of the Ivy League and is one of the nine colonial colleges founded before the American Revolution. Founded in 1769 by Eleazar Wheelock, with funds partially raised by the efforts of a Native American preacher named Samson Occom, it is the ninth-oldest college in the United States and the seventh-wealthiest in terms of funds per-student. In addition to its liberal arts undergraduate program, Dartmouth has medical, engineering, and business schools, as well as 18 graduate programs in the arts and sciences; hence it would tend to be called a university in standard American usage. For the sake of tradition- in part stemming from the legacy of the landmark Dartmouth College Case – and in order to emphasize the central importance it gives to undergraduate education, however, it refers to itself as a college. With a total enrollment of 5,700, Dartmouth is the smallest school in the Ivy League. It is incorporated as Trustees of Dartmouth College.
Rain Out!
Wednesday’s Yankees-Red Sox game in New York has been postponed due to rain, and no makeup date has been set.
DRATS! I am a fan of the Yankees/Boston Rivalry and when RD invited me to go with some kick ass tickets, how can I say no! O well, hopefully I can go to the makeup game! Should be fun and only my second time to Yankee Stadium!
Next – Pixar – Ratatouille
(ra-ta-tou-ye)
This should be interesting! Very curious to see what direction this is going to go in 🙂 Brad Bird is amazing! The title does not seem very Pixar! We will see!
RATATOUILLE is currently slated for a June 29, 2007 release. It’s co-directed by Brad Bird (you know, he directed IRON GIANT and THE INCREDIBLES and Bob Peterson – whose involvement with past Pixar projects ranges rom art/animation to voice work.
Ratatouille is a rat who lives in the sewers near a fancy uptown and upscale restaurant run by a famous but eccentric French chef, Chaz Morinto. This rat fancies himself a gourmand, but his father tells him he should grow up and learn to eat garbage like other rats. When Ratatouille is caught in the restaurant one night, he endangers every rat in the sewer when The Exterminator is called.
Cast:
Brad Garrett as Chef Chazz
Johnny Depp as Ratatouille
Russell Allman as Snive
Christopher Lee as Pat
Keanu Reeves as Garr
Christopher Walken as Winston
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Exterminator
The trailer for Diseney/Pixar’s RATATOUILLE is now on-line. This trailer is in French…appropriately enough…and is (presumably) the same material we’ll get in English when it’s attached to CARS (which will be released June 9).

[Beginning]
And tonight before dessert, for your enjoyment, we introduce the cheese plate. We have this delicious goat cheese bell, real lite, real sweet. Then, an ewe that will satisfy you with its generous perfume. But, last but not least, a real old and real special…
It’s a rat!
[freeze]
– And there I am. I think I have to reconsider my life. There’s nothing I can do, it’s over my strength, I love good food, ok? And good food is very hard to find for a rat.
– You would find I you weren’t so requiring.
– I don’t want to eat in dustbins, dad… What’s that?
– I have no idea.
– You have no idea, but you eat it anyway, don’t you?
– You know, if you can close the exit after you throw up, you have a whole lot of possibilities for food.
– Voilà! That’s exactly what I meant.
(Over the movie title) Nothing of this would have happened I we did not live in Paris! And it’s sooo easy to find good food in Paris! But… it’s dangerous. [un-freeze].
– You have to reconsider you life!
– You know, he is right!
– Dad, it’s enough!

Sirius Pulls Even With XM; Stern Is The Reason
A new technology poll from Jacobs Media says XM and Sirius are now equally popular, but the momentum — largely driven by Howard Stern — is shifting toward Sirius.
Overall satellite radio subscribership increased from 7% in 2005 to 12% in this year’s survey of rock listeners. But when compared to other new media — Internet streaming, iPod ownership and usage, and cell phone applications — satellite radio remains a medium that is still in its infancy.
That’s because the majority of respondents still like their radio free. In response to an “agree” or ”disagree” statement — “I will not pay for radio when I now get it for free” — seven of every ten poll takers agree or agree strongly.
The Jacobs poll reveals a dead heat between Sirius and XM — both are tied with 6% each among all respondents. Not surprisingly, men are more apt to subscribe to either service, as are 30-39 year-olds, college grads, and those with a household income of $100,000 and more.
Interestingly, the reasons current satellite radio subscribers selected either XM or Sirius were largely driven by the programming and marketing strategies that each company has employed.
For XM, the top reasons for signing up are the music channels (24%), commercial-free programming (14%), the belief that XM is good while traveling (12%), and because it came with the vehicle that they purchased or leased (11%).
Sirius subscribers, on the other hand, were heavily motivated by the arrival of Stern. Overall, one-third (32%) of those who now pay for Sirius list him as the key factor in their decision. Other reasons include the music channels (19%), and commercial-free programming (12%).
WPLJ Summer Kick Off With The Beach Boys
Another Year, Another WPLJ Summer Kick Off with Scott And Todd! 🙂 This is at least my 7th year covering this massive Jenkinson’s event. In the past, I have shot it for Jenks, but the past two years, Coors Light have hired me to cover the event. It kind of SUCKS waking up at 5am, just working the Thursday Night Kick Off at Jenks the night before with my boys, Big Orange Cone, but I grin and bear it and get down there! I have seen Melissa Melissa Etheridge, Hootie And The Blowfish, The Go Go’s, Train, Goo Goo Dolls, Bowling For Soup and this year, The Beach Boys!
At first, I was a little disappointed with the musical guest. I was like, what the hell! Looking back at all these other amazing artists, I kind of felt ripped off! After going to the event and the more I thought of it, who would be a more perfect band to kick off summer! I was thinking, come on, these guys are like legends in the music industry! I have grown up liking the Beach Boys over the years and I guess I forgot how many songs I actually know and enjoyed! After seeing them live and meeting them, I was in this total Beach Boys mood for the past 2 weeks! They were actually really good and Mike Love was a great guy! I downloaded their greatest hits CD and have been enjoying it ever since!
New Sony Digital Projectors coming to a Movie Theater near you!
LOS ANGELES – After more than a decade of talking about it, movie theaters and studios are finally rolling out digital projectors that show sharper, brighter images without cracks, pops or hisses. rnrnThis weekend, Sony Electronics will enter the field with a projector that displays the sharpest resolution envisioned under a set of standards issued for digital cinema. rnrnMovie studios last year agreed on such technology standards, which will allow components made by different manufacturers to be interoperable. Those components include the projector itself, the computer that stores the movie and sound, software that compresses the huge digital files and security systems that prevent piracy. rnrnAnd, after years of debate about who would pay for the systems, studios and companies that sell digital cinema systems agreed to share the cost.rnrn- OK Where is the IMAX Theaters 🙂 Looks Killer

Pixar’s Magic Man – John Lasseter
John Lasseter and his merry band of animators have a way with blockbusters. The master storyteller explains how he does it – and how he plans to sprinkle some of that Pixar dust at Disney.
NEW YORK (FORTUNE) – Here’s the scene: It’s 3 P.M., Wednesday, Jan. 25, in Sound Stage 7 on the studio lot of Walt Disney Co. in Burbank. Five hundred cartoon people – artists, producers, voice artists, etc. – are jammed into the warehouse-like building, murmuring and fidgeting in anticipation.
Just yesterday, Disney (Research) CEO Bob Iger and Pixar chairman Steve Jobs announced a surprise $7.4 billion deal in which Pixar Animation Studios, which brought the world the Toy Story movies, “Finding Nemo” and “The Incredibles,” would become a wholly-owned part of Disney.
The deal is surprising because Pixar’s longtime distribution pact with Disney fell apart in acrimony and is due to expire after the release in June of “Cars,” a kaleidoscopic celebration of racing, Route 66, and life in the slow lane. But in an amazing plot twist, not only is Pixar becoming part of Disney, but the upstart studio is also taking over the creative direction of Disney’s own flailing animation operations – the people in this very room! For Iger, the deal is a bet-the-house gamble to save Disney animation from creative oblivion. It’s as if Nemo swallowed the whale.
When Dick Cook, the chairman of Walt Disney Studios, introduces Pixar’s John Lasseter, the man who will soon be their boss, the crowd bursts into cheers and applause that goes on and on. The 49-year-old Lasseter is dressed in his trademark blue jeans, sneakers, and cacophonous Hawaiian-print shirt, and all he can do is blush and beam. “It was almost like a homecoming,” recalls Cook, who first met Lasseter when the two had summer jobs as ride operators at Disneyland in the late 1970s.
For Lasseter, who once got fired by Disney, it was sweet vindication. And it marked another amazing chapter in his storybook life, which resembles nothing so much as a Pixar plot line: Protagonist follows his heart, perseveres, gets the happy ending. His peers will tell you Lasseter’s an animation genius up there with Walt Disney himself. Here, the master storyteller tells his own tale.

RIP Don Knotts
RIP Don Knotts
Don Knotts was always one of my favorites growing up I remember rolling on the floor laughing at Mr Furley on 3 Is Company! He was also in the very first movie I saw on cable, Hot Lead And Cold Feet!
Don Knotts, instantly recognizable from his multi-year runs as the jittery but lovable Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show and the desperately uncool Mr. Furley on Three’s Company, died Friday night in a California hospital. Over the course of a career that spanned more than half a century, Knotts appeared in multiple television series and over two dozen films, usually as nerdy, high strung characters whose mannerisms were vastly different from those of the shy, soft-spoken actor. His best-known films include The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Shakiest Gun in the West, and The Incredible Mr. Limpet, all of which, at their cores, are warm, family films in which the shy, awkward Knotts wins the love of a girl who ‘can see through his nervousness to the heart of gold.’
Even as he moved into old age, Knotts showed no interest in retiring, and instead continued to energetically pursue his acting career. In just the past few years, he did voice work for Chicken Little and multiple television shows, and appeared in touring stage productions and advertising campaigns. He died at 81 after dealing for more than a year with unspecified health concerns.”

Pixar @ MOMA / 35th Birthday
MoMA.org | Exhibitions | 2005 | Pixar
This year for my birthday, I decided to venture into the city with Jos and lil Nicky to the Museum Of Modern Art! They had an exhibit on the 20th Anniversary of Pixar, showcasing the art and animation of my favorite movie company! It was really good! They had a 10 minute wide screen projection video showing all of the movies environments on a cork board. The movie then zoomed in and all of the worlds that the characters in the various movies lived. there were no spoken words, just music and it was real effective. I took a few shots, but was told I couldn’t take any photos 🙁 Go on the museums web site and take the audio tour, its really cool! I bought a cool book showing all the art a cool postcard set and a cool Incredibles poster for my new New York office 🙂 The best part of the exhibit was seeing all the new cars and sets for their new movie Cars. The rest of the museum was cool as well. I actually recognized many pieces and will go back again someday 🙂

David Lee Roth: Lowdown Reports High Anxiety
David Lee Roth: Lowdown Reports High Anxiety: “David Lee Roth: Lowdown Reports High Anxiety – Jan. 25, 2006 By Chuck Taylor
It may be free, but it sounds anything but easy.
The New York Daily News is reporting in Lloyd Grove?s ?Lowdown? column that David Lee Roth is behaving like a first-class diva at his home base, CBS Radio talk WFNY (Free FM) New York.
The rocker, who has already weathered a storm of bad reviews as the eastern region morning show successor to Howard Stern, ?is impossible to work with, a real arrogant, self-righteous ass,? said an anonymous Free FM staffer.
The source told Grove that Roth fails to prep for his show and ?is out the door 5 minutes after the show, unless he is forced to record a commercial or re-record ones he made errors on. All the execs know they made the two biggest errors in radio history: letting Stern go to Sirius and hiring this moron Roth.?
The report goes on to say that Roth insisted that WFNY GM Tom Chiusano extensively remodel Stern?s former studio, but now he refuses to use it, claiming that it is infested with asbestos. ‘He swears he is allergic to dust and smoke, but smells like an ashtray,’ the source said.
The staffer claims that Roth and his manager Matt Sencio ?are totally out of control and out of their league when it comes to producing a radio show.?
In addition, said the source, Roth ‘hates Tom and is vocal about that to almost everyone he talks at. It’s almost like he wants to get fired, and take the money and run.’
CBS Radio had no comment on the report.

Disney Buys Pixar For a Cool 7.4 Billion
Man, I read the news yesterday and I think I am still shocked! I guess it is pretty cool. I instantly saw people shouting out that Pixar movies are gonna now suck! Only time will tell! Here is the news:
Disney eats Pixar – BREAKING NEWS – Cinematical: “Disney eats Pixar – BREAKING NEWS
Posted Jan 24th 2006 7:15PM by Karina Longworth
Filed under: Animation, Deals, Disney
Various outlets are reporting that Disney has confirmed that it will buy Pixar. As part of the deal, Disney will shell out the nice round number of $9.85 billion to hand over control of their existing animation division to Pixar’s Ed Catmull and John Lasseter. In addition to taking over Disney Animation, Lasseter will also become the principal creative director of the Imagineering group ? which presumably means we can look forward to The Incredibles House at Disneyland sometime in 2012. Apple/Pixar mastermind Steve Jobs, who owns 50 percent of Pixar shares, will take a stake in Disney worth about $3.7 billion. He’ll also join the Disney board.
Though the deal is not exactly a surprise, it still qualifies as another bold move from new Disney chairman Robert Iger, who will seemingly stop at nothing to distance himself from his ousted predecessor, new CNBC personality Michael Eisner. Disney stock rose a whopping 1 cent this afternoon after the announcement.”
Disney pulls in Pixar
7.4B deal makes Steve Jobs top shareholder
BY PHYLLIS FURMAN – DAILY NEWS BUSINESS WRITER
Disney is looking to turn its takeover of animation film studio Pixar, whose big hits include ‘Toy Story,’ into a box office bonanza while looking to Steve Jobs for boost in digital dealings.
Disney’s pulled off an “Incredible” deal.
“The Lion King” and “Nemo” will be under one roof now following Disney’s $7.4 billion all-stock deal to acquire animation powerhouse Pixar.
Pixar chief Steve Jobs, will become Disney’s biggest individual shareholder and will get a seat on the company’s board. The Apple Computer chief who sparked a revolution in media and entertainment with the iPod, is expected to use his muscle to pump up Disney as it continues to explore digital deals.
John Lasseter, the creative force behind Pixar’s hit-making machine, has been named chief creative officer of the Disney Pixar animation studios. Pixar’s president, Ed Catmull, was named president of the cartoon-making studio.
By acquiring Pixar, Disney chief Bob Iger is looking to vault Disney from animation laggard to box office champ. While Disney long ago forfeited its animation crown thanks to bombs like “Treasure Planet,” Pixar has ruled for more than a decade with computer animated megahits like “Toy Story,” “The Incredibles,” and “Finding Nemo.”
A current co-production and distribution deal between the two was set to expire this summer after the release of “Cars,” and Jobs was threatening to walk.
“Nothing has created as much value (for Disney) as great animation,” Iger told analysts in conference call yesterday. “Pixar has created some of the most memorable, high-quality films of this genre.”
Jobs praised Disney’s distribution assets, including its theme parks. “This looked to be the most exciting path to Pixar’s future,” he said on the call.
Disney will issue 2.3 Disney shares for each Pixar share. Disney closed yesterday at $25.99, up 47 cents. Pixar closed Tuesday at $57.57, down 70 cents. The $7.4 billion Disney is paying includes about $1 billion of Pixar cash.
The price was somewhat higher than Wall Street had expected. “It’s a full price,” said Peter Goldman, portfolio manager at Chicago Asset Management, which owns Disney shares.
Goldman and others questioned whether Disney was buying at a time when computer animation might be peaking. But he added, “I’m more enthusiastic about Disney with Pixar than I was without it.”
Others wondered how Pixar’s independent culture would fit with Disney’s buttoned-up approach. Pixar will remain at its Emeryville, Calif.-based headquarters.
“Disney is bureaucratic. People roller-blade down the halls of Pixar,” said Marla Backer, an analyst at Research Associates. “I don’t think Pixar needs Disney looking over its shoulders.”

Howards First Day
What can I say! The first Howard show on sirius Radio was GREAT! No He is not married and YES George Takei IS gay! I also found out the cast’s revolations, messed up!!! Here is the run down:
1. I cheated on my wife and got caught
2. I masturbated in the bathroom closet while my family members (aunt and cousin) were in the bathroom
3. I got a girl pregnant and paid for an abortion
4. I think I’m addicted to porn and prefer masterbating to real sex.
5. I have spent well over $10,000 on internet porn.
6. My buddy and I once ordered massage girls to our hotel room and were ripped off
7. I’ve pleasured myself with meat and vegetables.
8. I have a half sister that I don’t want to meet.
9. I have had cosmetic surgery.
10. I guy once blew his load on my chest.
11. I once had my stomach pumped for alcohol poisoning and woke up to an acquaintance fondling my genitals.
Here is a lil blurb from Engadget, summing up the show:
So how did The King of All Media — now a half billion dollars richer for moving to Sirius — take advantage of his first day on private-air satellite radio this morning? We didn’t listen in ourselves, but apparently Howard’s program weighed in 170 some-odd swear words heavy (though few were attributed to Stern himself), a fake-marriange announcement by Stern and the “confession” that he practices transcendental yoga, George Takei now doing voice-overs full time on the program, and a, um, gassy rendition of the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey to lead the intro, among other things. New medium is now the new media, ladies and gentlemen, and according to Stern nearly 2 million new customers lined up service to hear him broadcast from space today.
