Yes, This Creepy Person Was a Marketing Ploy By Fox

Many emails littered our inbox last night night asking about the weird bald-looking dude who received an uncomfortable level of face-time during the All-Star game. Of course, this is a sneaky Fox promotion for a television show. I guess we’ve fallen for it as well since I’m now writing about it. But here’s the WIkipedia info on “The Observer”:

The Observer is also seen on occasion in other Fox programs. For example, on April 7, 2009, the Observer was seen on American Idol. He was on the front row and blatantly shown near the beginning of the episode. This appearance, along with others at televised sports events, including a close-up appearance at the 2009 Major League Baseball All-Star game, is part of a viral marketing campaign by Fox Television

Rain Out!

Wednesday’s Yankees-Red Sox game in New York has been postponed due to rain, and no makeup date has been set.

DRATS! I am a fan of the Yankees/Boston Rivalry and when RD invited me to go with some kick ass tickets, how can I say no! O well, hopefully I can go to the makeup game! Should be fun and only my second time to Yankee Stadium!

Mets Home Opener 2006

I am happy to report, the tradition continues!!! Jos Nicholas and I headed out to Shea Stadium with Frank and the girls for the Mets 2006 Home Opener! I believe this is the 4th or 5th year in a row that we have attended this grand event! Some years we hit it good where it is nice and Fresh Toasted outside, but no such luck this year! Nicky braved a lil chill, but he was a trooper and was really a good boy and enjoyed his very FIRST Mets game! The Mets WON 3-2 in a great game again the Nationals! GO METS!

All Star Workout Day and Home Run Derby 2004

Major League Baseball : Events : 2004 All-Star Game: Home Run Derby

WOW, What a killer Home Run Derby! It was awesome! The 2 players that were added last minute, really kicked ass! (From – The Orioles’ Miguel Tejada won the Home Run Derby, edging Houston’s Lance Berkman with five homers in the final. Tejada set two records Monday night, hitting 27 homers on the evening and a record 15 in the second round.

The place went ape sh*t for Lance, the hometown favorite! I was rooting for both but with Miguel having the chance to break the record for most home runs, I was on his side! Bonds and Sosa pretty much disappointed everyone! I was going in rooting for Bonds, but what can you do. It was so amazing seeing all the home run legends! From McGire to Willie Mays to Hank Aaron, it was truly amazing! Another cool thing was seeing the stadium roof open in like 18 mins! Another truly amazing site to see!

Went to not one, not two but three parties yesterday! The ESPN Center Field pre-party, thanks to my new bud Lisa ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Lisa! We also went to the Gala after the HRD and the MLBPA party! They all were a lot of fun!

The game was a blowout as usual! The games on tonight on ESPN if you wanna check it out.

Minute Maid Park is a nice stadium. It is a little odd in shape, but you gotta love any modern stadium! I really did not venture out and check it out as much as I hoped to, but will later today ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is the train that moves and blows its whistle when a player hits a homer and crosses the plate! Very Cool!

Today is the Home Run Derby! Best part of the trip! Make sure to check back for those updates! Tomorrow is the big game, should be a lot of fun!
